Thank you! I will! biggrin biggrin biggrin

i honestly thought the best part of that book, even as a work of fiction, was that it was in the format of letters. letters to someone charlie never intended to hear back from. which gave it a half diary, half conversational feel. it made it more real. but, it was fiction.

suffice to say, i'm really REALLY interested in finding your book. i haven't really read any young adult stuff in a while (other than perks, which, incidentally, i started rereading after i made that post), and i certainly haven't read anything about cutting since i quit, but i'd really excited to delve back into it. see what it feels like. not the cutting, just, ya know, reading about. i want to know what reading about it, thru non-fiction, through letters, feels like. i hope you're book does well, and i mean that in at least two ways. sorry for the long post/letter.

ps. do you know if it's carried on the east coast?

Disturbing.
Strange things that have happened as of late.
A lady customer smacked my booty because I forgot to bring her lemons for her water. She aint no lady!
I saw a middle-aged man hold his camera under the table and photograph the crotch of his younger, female dining companion. Disgusting. Even worse. That fucker left me an 8% tip.

Alsoirritated by a friend of...

Good times

Been overwhelmed these past few weeks. I was house/dog sitting for my friends boxers, Mingus and Lily. So cute and funny. Mingus likes to sit on me and having his butt rubbed and Lily likes hugs and kisses.

We are in full swing with book publicity, which is both fun and nerve wrecking. I feel so lucky to be involved...

Ive been verbally warned

On June 7th you closed a check to a room charge when the guest did not have room charge privileges or method of payment other than cash. The guests meal was $126.30 with tip included and while recover attempts will be made, proper room charge procedure was not followed. In the future, you need to make sure that firstly, you double...

Love the henry rollins story. My ex actually dated him for a year. Too funny, I run into hiim in the most random places, but never in LA! Anyway, I know I haven't commented in a long time. I have been gone traveling for a while. I have lots of new pics from Amsterdam, Iceland, NYC up on my page. I am putting the others from London and Paris up soon too. Stop by and say hey sometime. Peace - Jase ooo aaa

Okay. After that last comment, I finally got down to it. Started a journal and been trying to keep up on it. I haven't did this much writing since the publishing days ('94-'00). Now it's like a second wind. Finding some motivation in between every few or so thoughts.

*The Parfrey partnership is great to hear. I interviewed him back around '97/98 (it was about the time after he settled back in LA after Portland). From what I recalled, he provided me with some good laughs. Can't wait to read your book! biggrin

Scary monster tongues

Im a waitress. I sometimes love my job. I sometimes hate my jobneedless to say, I would much rather write for a livingor something else which does not require the kindness of strangers to pay my billsBottom line is that my livelihood depends on how much people eat and whether or not they know to tip me properly. I...

I am 60 pages in and I love it. My favorite parts are when you say something really deep or profound and then say, "Do you like shoes?" or something equally random.

Love your book.

Since you asked, I shall tell you how I got my first book, Go Ask Ogre: Letters from a Deathrock Cutter published.

This is how it happened.

In Spring of 20001 I ran into Ogre from Skinny Puppy. I hadnt seen him since 1992 when he was touring with Pigface.

The first thing he said to me was that he still had my letters. What...

As a fellow human being who enjoys dining out I feel compelled to share the following information.

The next time your food server brings a box for you to wrap up your leftovers, consider the following.

I honestly think there are some times when Im too considerate. (NOTE* I said some times- not all the time) When it comes to hearts (love) and...
