A semi-real update.
Emergency Surgery...
Scary Stuff!
A few weeks ago I woke up and didn't feel so hot. I went to work (because I'm the only reliable one-but that will be an entirely different post) but left as soon as the other receptionists arrived. I went home and slept all day. I wasn't feeling super sick, just kind of icky. 4pm that afternoon, I started having abdominal pain. I just thought it was cramps...no big deal. Well 15-20 mins. later the cramps started to get worse and worse. I went downstairs to my room and tried to sleep it off. When I woke up...the pain was so bad that I couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't anything. I was crying hysterically and started having a panic attack because I didn't know what was going on. My cousin was at home and I yelled out for her to call her mother. Her mom put me in the big ass SUV, and drove to the emergency room because she thought it was my appendix.
I won't even elaborate on the emergency room situation...let's just say it wasn't pretty.
So finally 10:00pm....they wheel me out to have a CAT scan.
My doctor...whose last name happened to be (no fucking lie) Pepper.HA!
told me that he couldn't actually see my appendix because I had a very high white blood cell count. He said that I needed to have an appendectomy (SP?) as soon as possible.
When I come out of surgery, the nurse tells me that not only was it my appendix, but I had an ovarian cyst that was the size of a (no lie) volleyball. It had ruptured and I was bleeding into myself.
Scary. Apparently this had cause me to lose a massive amount of blood, and my surgeon (luckily not Dr. Pepper) was keeping me under observation because he thought I needed a blood transfusion. It worked out in my favor that I didn't. However, being in a hospital for 5 days was no fun.
I'm okay now. Everything is back to normal. I'm great...and I have itty bitty scars. No big deal.
Oh yeah, I also have pictures of my gigantic cyst. I think the pictures are awesome, although most everyone that I show them too, tell me that they are really gross. Oh well.
Hey! My B-Day is soon!
Does anyone want to make some chocolate cupcakes with peanutbutter icing and rasta sprinkles for me? Anyone?

If you know a website that will deliver I will buy them for you
You're the second person I know who had an appendectomy in the last couple of months. Weird.
