There was a small argument with my houseguests. They keep walking around saying "We were conversating" or stuff that nature. I brought up the idea that conversating was not an actual word and I thought the word they should be using is conversing. Am I wrong? Which one of us is correct? Now, I could be very wrong. I have just not ever heard the word conversating (although, I still think it's not an actual word).
