What an incredible day!
LINK THING
So, I've only been working for just a few days at the new theater job and today...was something that I could have never prepared for.
12:00 - Super busy (it's the Ice Age movie) and I'm helping out in concessions because the lines are all backed up
12:45- Screams, and people running out of theaters 6, 7 and 8....water soon follows.
I had to evacuate everyone in the entire theater complex.
Apparently water flooded into theater #8, tearing down the walls to the two adjoing theaters.
At one point I think the water level in house reached 6 ft.
Not only did our workplace get flooded hardcore, but the water kept flowing into the entire mall complex. (I don't know if any of the other businesses were as badly damaged as ours or not.
I was there 5 more hours to help clean and to try and sweep some water outside into the back parking lot, hoping it would drain into the gutters.
When I finally decided to leave for the day (and for good, I guess) some of the water from the damaged theaters had gone down quite a bit (although in #8 the water was still above all of the seats).
Okay so here is a Motorola Cam picture of theater #6 (this is the one that is the least damaged)
CRAZY right?
So am I out of a job now?

Sometimes I'm glad I live on the 9th floor.
