Went to see Social D on Halloween, with JessicaLea and weinerdog. It was alright....probably would of enjoyed handing out candy to all the little ghouls and gobblins in my neighborhood tho. We were suppose to meet up with gogobongo but didnt have enough time...sorry gogo, next time.
(Social D fans cover your eyes) Although Social D does have many good songs that I enjoy, I dont enjoy their live shows. I think they're washed up punk rockers, who charge wayyyyy to much for a show - $27!!!! 27 dollars to see a gay-F-I rip off band (cant say much about the first band-didnt see all of their set)........27 dollars to see 40something year old Mike Ness with a beer gut....27 dollars to see Mike Ness sing about what a great-influential-badass he is. Oh, and Social D requested that all the beers be poured into plastic cups, so they didnt get hit with beer bottles....which I think is funny bec M.N. always talks about getting into fights, and kicking ass, yet he cant dodge a couple of beer bottles. And during the show, he got all pissed bec someone threw a cup on stage, and he angrily walked over to it and kicked it off stage.
Anyways, 27 + 4 dollar beers, thats a 50-60 dollar night for one person. I would much rather spend that at Six flags or on some new cds or something. Oh yeah.....one more thing......if I want to hear Ring of Fire for the millionth time ill put on a Jonny Cash record.
Okay......im done......I appologize to all the Mike Ness fans. Sorry weinerdog and sorry gogobongo. Dont mean to rain on your parade, thats just my opinion.
Mmmm....something else I didnt enjoy.........the new show "But can they sing?" I thought I was gonna like it, but its just an American Idol for celebrities. Not funny, not original, not entertaining! I expected so much more from a Zappa.
So, yesterday, I started looking at wedding dresses with two of my friends. It was pretty wierd. I felt so out of place. I felt like an orphan in a mansion, or a gay man at the Bass Pro shop, or something of the like. I would try them on, look in the mirror, and think 'eh its alright. I didnt feel pretty in them, I actually felt very ugly, and well.....i was like a manequin. The dresses went on, I stood on a pedestal, everyone went oh & ah, then I took it off. I think my friends had a better time than I did. I am sooo not bride material.
Golly, I am reading over this.....and thinking how negative everything is.
Well, its true......and I aint changing it.
