Finally able to get to my computer after my trip. The trip was fantastic. I got along with the older brother (who isn't always easy to get along with) and got to see my 1 year old nephew. For a second I wished for a child, but then reality set back in.
I came back to some big possible shake-ups at work. I'm a little nervous, but am trying not to stress. I was told by a work acquaintance today that I shouldn't worry because there's always work for capable people. I appreciated his positive remarks. :o)
My fave things from my NY trip -
Prospect Park - what a great park, such diverse examples of nature and humanity
Coney Island, the prom, the pier, sand between my toes, freezing cold water, and fright from the high rides
Basquiat from the outside, couldn't fathom waiting 2 hours to see it, i'll need to get a book from the library, so we explored the botanic gardens next door instead - there was a really strict guard there - why can't you put down a blanket??
Song - fun thai restaurant in brooklyn and drinks with my brothers
the amazing weather and finally getting to wear fun skirts and tank tops - i love the summer!
And, my most favorite thing about the trip - coming home. chicago is so amazing.
