lemony-good steil beer (half lemonade, half beer)

it is kick-ass. super cool philosophies and i keep finding things i want to quote in my journal. for now, i will wait and post some of my faves after completion.

my mom's surgery (she has sleep apnea and is getting her nasal passages "opened up") has been postponed because the doctor decided two days before the surgery that they all of a sudden want my 63 year old mom to undergo a stress test. she has been in queue for two months and they ask her now. it's not a huge effect on me b/c i will just take time off later to help her out, but surgery is not fun and it is probably frustrating on her part to have to mentally amp up again in the future. and, now the apnea will continue... i was kind of looking forward to seeing her too. i didn't go home for the holidays and haven't seen her since my wedding. i miss my mom!

btw - i have the most awesome husband in the world!

update: mom's surgery might be on. they are actually fitting the stress test in tomorrow morning. so by tomorrow afternoon i will know if i am road-tripping to ohio. she sounds very upbeat about the whole thing.
