oh, my dreams of sleeping in today were not realized. first, it was one of those mornings where i woke up when my alarm usually goes off. ugh. 
then, after finally falling back asleep an hour later i am woken up to a DOT van that has put itself into reverse to have the lovely beeping noise occur to wake people up to move their cars. darn DOT! there was a sign in front of our and our neighbor's house yesterday saying that parking was not allowed starting yesterday at 6 a.m. and going until next Friday. very confusing sign, so we parked in front of the house. oh well. i'm up, have moved my car, and am making coffee. i may go sit on the front porch and watch the DOT workers install a speed hump (we're across from a school).
