I left a piece of my ass on the concrete track at Catalina. The top layer of skin on my right ass cheek/upper thigh is stuck on the second turn, and I wish I had it back. It hurts to sit with that cheek on the chair, and I'm sure it will hurt just to lay on it as well. It's gonna be a nice bruise, though
I'll make sure to take pictures of it if it comes up nicely.
In other news, I am exhausted. I have 7 days left of school. I really just want to be done. I know 7 days is not much, but it feels like forever. My teacher told me yesterday I wasn't going to make any money in a salon if I didn't work faster, which kinda sucks. I hauled ass on this girl's highlights. She had hair that when in a ponytail was about as thick as the bottom of a coffee mug. She wanted foiled highlights ALL over. So, it took awhile to get all the foils in, then she had to process from a super dark brown to a medium blond, which took quite awhile. Then I shampooed her, dried her off a little, and had to go through all of her hair with the toner (which was a rocketfire red and red kicker). She sat under the dryer for 20 minutes, then ANOTHER shampoo, conditioner, etc. The process overall took three hours. So, that comment kinda killed all the esteem I'd picked up in the past few months.
I want a long hot bath, ice cream, and to read my book. I think I'll go do that. Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

As far as your teacher, that is really kind of a fucked up thing to say to you. At a salon, you will develop your own client base, who will all want different things, which all take different amounts of time to do. I don't believe for a minute that you can process people through like an assembly line all getting the same thing. Tell her I said get fucked, that was rude
