Blog tiiiiime!!!
Time to drop some grown-up knowledge!
These are some things i have definitely had some issues with in my younger years and over time have learned that they are staples in a happy healthy life.
1. Learn to accept constructive criticism.
One time when i worked at a shop i wanted to change locations to the city. My bosses and managers told me they didnt think it was a good idea. They said they didnt think i could handle the traffic that went through there. There i was thinking "y'all are just haters and you don't believe in me!! I'll show you!" Well...they weren't haters, they were literally just trying to look out for me. Less then 6 months after i transfered I ended up losing my job because, surprise surprise I couldnt deal. Sometimes when people come off like they are attacking you or making you feel like they dont belive in you they are just trying to help. Try your best to sort out which is which and swallow your pride. Take constructive criticism, and use it to better yourself.
2. Learn to laugh at yourself
Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone fucks up, or looks stupid doing something. So stop being so fucking serious okay? Im the person that will laugh at myself when i walk into that door, even if im alone. I admit, I'll be embarrassed, but I'll be damned if I'll give them the satisfaction of seeing me that way. Laughing it away is the easiest way to deal, plus how hilarious is it to be the crazy person laughing at themselves in the streets! Yes!!
3. ALWAYS take the high road.
As tempting as it is, resist the urge to have the last word. Think to yourself, is it necessary to the situation they they know I am right? If someone is egging you on, that is thier problem. Take a deep breath and let it be. It is probably easier for me to say, i am non-confrontational, but saying that, it kills me every fucking time to take the high road. But i do, because that is part of being a decent human being. Don't sink to thier disrespectful level, it only makes matters worse. Rise above it my friends!
So I hope you enjoyed my little nuggs of life advice. I just wanted to add that lately my SG family has lifted me up to levels i never thought possible and you all make me feel so fufilled and loved. Stay tuned, a "how sg changed my life." will be my next blog. I really love you all so much, the relationships i have forged here make my life so much better.
Also, just a reminder that my newest set drops in about 2 weeks and it is soooo good. It was shot by @shaine in Montreal, and it is by far my favorite. Can't wait for you to see. Here is a little BTS from that shoot cause i dont want to show too many images before it is released.
Much love to you my SG family,
Lita xoxo
