woah so i've somehow manage to leave it about 2 weeks before updating. I had no idea, which maybe goes to show how fast time seems to be flying be. Normally they say time flies when you're having fun, but it also seems to be flying when you're not.
I've managed to get to spend some more time with my housemate recently, which is good. I hope it lasts. I still have had no luck on the job front. There just really isn't much about, and I think I've basically given up on ever doing what I want. I'm probably going to sign on soon so I at least get a bit of money coming in. I didn't want to have to, but it seems kinda silly not too really when I'm entitled to it. I've applied for some volunteer work doing graphic design, have to wait on my references before anything happens, but it'll at least be something to do.
I also seem to have these bizarre moments where I find it physically difficult to stop what I'm doing, whether it be lying on the sofa or walking. I really have to seem to think about it and make myself do something. Its weird. It seems like an entire new level of laziness maybe?
I'm really looking forward to september when most of my friends will be back in town after a years work placement. It's been tough without having all my regular group of friends around, especially as I was supposed to be on work placement, but didn't get one. So it'll be ace when they come back in mid-september, i just probably won't be able to afford to go out with them all the time.
Tonight I've been listening to Curtis Mayfield's superfly album from the film. Which I think is better than Shaft, but both have awesome music.
every track on it is amazing. It really makes me want to be in a band again playing some super smooth music. or just rocking out. I'd quite happily do both.
This has to be possibly my favourite album cover of all time... incredible stuff from Mr Tom Jones there.
