Hello Suicide World,
I'm sitting here drinking an amazing mint mojito in hand, with the absolutely shittiest brand of bleach in my hair, trying not to drip peroxide all over my house. I feel like a melting popsicle.
On a happier note, my hair will be gorgeous in a matter of hours! I can't wait for a change. I get so bored with myself and love looking in the mirror after giving myself a fresh new look! It makes me feel so adorable.
I'm listening to an amazing band that will be in town tomorrow for the winter carnival. They are called More Than Lights. Check 'em out if you enjoy some funky reggae jams. Even though I live in a small town in one of the biggest states with the least amount of population per square foot, the carnival is always a raging party!
To start the festivities off is the Penguin Plunge. Need I say more? Ok I'll clarify for those of you who've never seen snow. People dress up in costume, raise money for the special olympics, and jump into a frozen lake. This year my team will be jumping in Togas. My brother's team will be wearing chicken masks.
Later in the day is the parade. There are Yeti's that chase kids around and carry them down the street from their parents, only to return them safe and sound a few moment later with a stash of candy. There are floats, bands, dancers, and all sorts of goodies being thrown through the air.
Other places host special events after the parade. There is an ice sculpture contest hosted in the mall parking lot, and a burrito eating contest inside the mall at our local Taco Del Sol (mhhmmmmm they're tasty). These are just a couple of the ongoing festivites.
Once the sun goes down is when the REAL MADNESS begins. The town is swarming with people. Sure, the population may only be 15,000 but we have plenty of bars and our own brewery to keep them all dry and quenched. There is even a contest to see what people would do for their own free year's supply of Black Star Beer (brewed locally in downtown Whitefish, Montana).
My friends and I decided to give this year's evening a theme. We are goring ourselves out and tearing up the town with our zombie faces on! I can't wait to moan and groan at peeps. It's one of my most favorite past times!
Now I'm gonna go wash out this crap from my hair and try using something a bit better. Also, my glass is empty so I need a refill. More pictures to come after I get me some braaaaaaiiiiiins in my belly!
love you all!
