Well my tattoo does have a story behind it. I have been in the martial arts now for about 15 years. So I decided I would get a samurai to represent the years of dedication. As I designed it I found a meaning to each part. The hat covering the face is the warrior hidden in everyone. The traditional Japanese clothing and sandals are simpilicity and humility.The drawn sword is said to be the soul of the samuria. He is facing forward to show an unwillingness to retreat. And finally the blood dripping from the sword is the years themselves, all the blood, sweat, and tears that went into them.
