Today was a nice short day if only it was hot and sunny out it would be perfect. My afternoon client cancelled and I still get paid so that's nice.
Yesterday my friend who works for "THE AGENCY" agents who work for Metric, and most bands playing at Edgefest II said I could have 2 free tickets to Metric this saturday!!! Who wants to come with me!!!!?1?
Tonight is MORBIO, my friends comedy group, $5 at the brunswick house, and its fucking hillarious!
Julz and Beth (Team Attempting to Spoon) are in 2nd place (losing by ONE point) they arrived in Winnipeg safely, they have the day off today. Tomorrow morning they head towards Calgary. They have to and WILL win that leg of the race. After that is Calgary to Banff, then Banff to Vancouver. I am so ridiculously jelous of what they are doing.
Here's Julz last blog entry, by the way if you want to cheer them on go to http://thumbsoutcanada.com and post in the guestbook

"Well not to be a sore loser, but goddamn am I sore that I lost... Hehe, I'm just kidding... mostly. Beth and I made amazing time getting into Winnipeg, we got a ride to the something or other falls just outside Thunder Bay and checked that out, then a little down the road we got picked up by a really cool couple (Jeremy and Beth) who were on their way right into Winnipeg. A stroke of luck to be sure, especially since we were dropped only a couple of blocks from the hostel, which we found right away.
Now you're probably asking, so if things went so great Julz, why are you losing? Well the answer dear reader, is that while we made it in 9.5 hrs, the Dreamteam, freakishly made it in 9. Thats the disturbing part. Now we still have hope of taking back the lead, but its freaking tight now. And this is the first time we aren't in first place overall. There are two more legs though before the home stretch, but I'm getting a little worried. The Dreamteam's luck has truly been inspired, but with any luck for us, it will falter just a little....
Back to our rides though, the first guy was kind of shy and didn't want to be filmed, but thats OK, the next guys were great. They were super nice and had this really cute dog in the truck with them named baby. My favorite part of the trip was coming up to the Manitoba boarder and joking with Jeremy about how it wasn't there and Ontario must have secretly eaten it... The film should be hilarious, hopefully we can get a bit in the next podcast, but no promises.
Anyway, I'm at a rather expensive net cafe so I'm gonna sign out for now. Much love from Beth and I, and we'll be back again soon with more stories of our adventures (and hopefully no more heartbreak). Say a little prayer for meeeeeeee, and we'll be back again reaaal soon, PEACE!"
