Hello there!
First and foremost I need to thank @missy and @sean and all the other babes for making this trip such an adventure!
Also, If there were any of you guys and gals I met and took photos with or simply said 'Hello' -thank you! I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your support and lovin'
It was my first plane trip and i must say being in an airplane has become one of my favorite things to do! Being in clouds, seeing Denver lit up at night, and taking off are all experiences i will never forget!
San Diego did wonders for my skin and hair; if you've ever been to Denver you know how dry it is out here! I am more curious to see what S.D is like without 150,00 extra people in it! But seriosuly San Diego, you gotta step your food game up! Ya'll ain't got nothin' on Denver!!
Anyway.....I landed Wednesday afternoon and immediately went to the booth- it was preview night so there weren't many folks there, but it was nice to be able to prepare myself for the chaos we would soon be having in the coming days... I ate at a delicious burger joint and headed to the Hotel Indigo where i stayed for the rest of my trip. I was lucky enough to be able to room with the oh so lovely, @damsel, @erica, @bixton and @milloux and @ackley <3 YOWZA!
Thursday morning i found myself wandering the streets of an already hot morning searching for a local coffee shop. I fell upon a cute place called CoffeeArt that had tasty iced coffee and delicious acai bowl (it was so good i went there every morning afterwards) Later i went with the sweet @ellia by pedicab to work the booth at the comic con. The excitement people had that we were there defiantly rubbed off on me! And later that eve i had the pleasure of attending a SinCity2 party where i was dressed up similar to Jessica Alba(swoon) in the movie. I loved the costume and wig- so much so that i ended up wearing the wig later on! I ate at a cool 24-hour diner spot with @arwen, @ellia and @zad
Friday came about and i was at the booth for the whole day. During my breaks it was so overwhelming to walk anywhere to find food or outlets(to charge my phone) because of the swarm of people everywhere! It was a good day and I found some alone time in the hotel room later that eve to do some yoga to replenish myself.
Saturday was my favorite day of the trip! It started off being in the booth but not before my acai bowl and coffee run of course....having lunch/brunch with @ackley at a cute littleplace..And later changed into my SinCity2 costume and headed over to PetcoPark where there were free photobooths, autograph signings, ice cream, the cars from the movie and good music to dance to! I absolutely LOVED spending time with @zad and all the other lovely ladies at the park that day! And if it couldn't have gotten anymore fun that eve was the Blackheart Burlesque Show! The house of blues is an amazing venue and i had the honor of being backstage as a stagehand for the ladies with @lua -she's such a doll! I get so excited to see those ladies dance and whew, so many boobies!!!!!!!!!
Sunday kind of was a haze as I was exhausted by the time i worked the booth and roamed around the convention, I was ready to go back home to Denver. @ellia and I found our way to a yogurt shop and then to the airport. I ended up landing in Denver around 11:30pm and was thrilled to be home!
Since being back though I've fallen sick which I've only myself to blame. The lack of drinking enough water and eating more often was probably the cause as well as being in an entirely new city and traveling on a plane....but it was so so SO worth it. Quite the memorable experience and making new friendships that are sure to last!!!
Thanks for reading my ramblins!
Until next time,
L
