SNL Fun Fact: On the fifth season of Saturday Night Live (last with original cast) Garrett Morris would freebase cocaine in his dressing room to the point he would have paranoid delusions of an "invisible hypnotist robot" that was trying to control his every mood. He would sometimes make five sandwiches in his dressing room and tell people that he would leave and come back and the sandwiches would be gone. This is not the sort of behavior that, in general, is overly conducive to a live late night comedy show. So the writers would write fewer sketches for him to be in, which in turn caused him to increase his cocaine intake, and thus a vicious cycle was created.
If I ever start a band, it will be named "Invisible Hypnotist Robot" because that name is just wonderfully evocative, methinks.
