The West Memphis 3 have finally been let out of jail (one of them on death row)! While I am not crazy about the fact they weren't 100% exonerated, at least they can now, maybe, have some sort of normal lives. Plain and simple, these three kids (at the time) were railroaded by a Legal system that totally failed them. Additionally, when you convict people innocent of a crime that means, obviously, the real killer(s) went free. I don't get super-emotional usually about people I don't personally know, but I am chocked up a bit while writing this. To be fair, I am far from a bleeding heart liberal when it comes to criminals, but you don't have to be in this case. The Paradise Lost movies now go on a short list of films that have actually done something specifically good in the real world. Plus, Peter Jackson the director was apparently involved in providing money to get the three FINALLY out of jail.
In all, I am happy about this turn of events.
