Paul McCartney put on a stunning show last night at Yankee Stadium. Almost three hours long, and for a Beatles/McCartney nerd like me, not a bad song choice in the bunch. What does it say that he played 36 songs and still left out a couple "standards"? Getting to and from Yankees Stadium was no fun (it took two hours to go from there to the Geo. Wash. Bridge--which is all of 4 miles) but the enjoyment factor of the concert more than made up for it. I always wanted to go to a show where another musician makes a surprise appearance, and last night, Billy Joel came out and did a number with Paul (I Saw Her Standing There). Even in the nosebleeds (I was two rows from the very last row) the good times and vibes were strong.
There were some douchey Frat Guys (acting as you would imagine) in front of us with one of their "chicks" who did this weirdly inappropriate "hippie chick" dance (you can probably visualize it if you try) for most of the show, which didn't work when applied to a song such as Helter Skelter. Didn't wreck the show, but I am all the time amazed at how there are still people who don't know how to behave properly at concerts (which probably means an inability to know how to behave in public in general).
Still, if you ever get the chance, seeing Paul McCartney should be something you say yes to.

Glad you had a good time. I would love to see Paul McCartney. He is amazing. I love his version of Maybe I'm Amazed. It is a song I could never get tired of.
