Here's hoping the promised Change can start to happen now. I am hopeful. I also hope people don't think things are going to immediately improve, as we need to un-do a lot of bad things to get us back to neutral before we can make things better again. I would hate for President Obama (man that's cool!) to be attacked because he isn't a miracle worker that makes the economy strong and restores our badly damaged reputation on the world's stage before the spring thaw. I think it will happen gradually, by small measures. Voting him into office is only the first step on a long journey. But the right step, no doubt.
People tend to forget how good things were in the US under President Clinton, and how badly he was attacked by the so-called "liberal media" (what a crock of shit that is). Obama needs to really keep his nose clean, as the tiniest whiff of scandal could be extremely damaging to his Presidency and the future of the country.
I think we are really at the make it or break it point. As I mentioned, I am hopeful we will make it.
In other news, my favorite terrestrial radio station WHTG FM 106.3 changed formats abruptly this morning, switching from "alternative" to Top 40. It sux. It's like a little piece of my teen years died (not that I have been a teenager any time recently). I grew up listening to the station. You can't go home again.
