As part of my resolve to lose weight I have been eating much less overall and much healthier to boot. Since I live in the Northeast of the USA it is too cold to walk outside (my preferred physical and mental exercise) I have been doing the Nintendo Wii Fit. It is pretty awesome, but if you are overweight it can be daunting since it comes right out and tells you not only that you are, in fact, overweight, but by how much (I am 27 pounds overweight by the Wii Fit's estimation--not horrendous but not something to be proud of--although I look around me and see people that are more overweight than I). It also calculates what you're physical age is based on BMI and weight (same thing? I dunno). Right now I have the physique of a 44 year old (8 years older than I really am). The Wii Fit even warns you on the box to not do it in front of others if you are embarrassed by your current weight and overall health. My Wii character (my Mii) is actually rotund based on my weight. It will be satisfying if he becomes more thin as I do. I just need to not half-ass this. I can do it. I want to get down to about 145 pounds or so, which would put me just under what my target weight is. Always good to be a bit under weight in case you get White Castle cravings so you can afford to pack on a lb or three.
I wish The Wrestler would hurry up and open around me where I can see it. Milk and Revolutionary Road also. It's like early last year when it took FOREVER for There Will Be Blood to open close enough to me so I could go see it in the theatre (if you don't believe me, look back in my blogs for December 2007 to February 2008). I wish I lived in NYC if for no other reason than the movie choices are better.
