I "seen" REM last nite at MSG in NYC (lots of acronyms flying, no?).
They were good, they played lots of the new album which was A-OK since the new album is good (last time I aw them was 2004 and the album they insisted on promoting was so crappy they have since more or less disowned the fucking thing). They played lots of older tunes as well, Not the older tunes I wished for, such as Stand, Circus Envy, Superman, or Pop Song 89, but when you see a band you luv that have 15 albums of material, you hafta force yourself to appreciate what they DID play more than what they DIDN'T.
They did play Fall On Me, which I truly have feeling for as it relates to my life.
I give the show 9/10. The time I saw them at The Garden State Arts Center (nuna this "PNC Bank" malarkey for me) was a 10/1o since that night they played "Stand".
