I ate meat yesterday for the first time in 2008 (non-fish). I have been trying to decide if I am a carnivore or not and I believe that I am. I think I shall continue to limit my beef/chicken/pork intake, but not close it off entirely. I think my main issue with food has always been sugar and fried foods, so as long as I manage to continue to limit my exposure to them I should be A-OK. I was never into vegetarianism for political/social issues (I disagree with much of what PETA believes, and hate the way they believe it). I don't feel any healthier after more than 100 days meat-free, and am not convinced of the vegetarian lifestyle (tho' I do think we need to be animal friendly and eat healthy). Truth be told, I was never a big meat eater anyway, so the change to vegetarian wasn't a life-altering leap in any case (many days my meat intake was limited to the tiny cubes of ungodly processed chicken in a Lean Cuisine).

I totally agree. Great to read that.
