I am compiling a top ten movie list for every year from 1989 (the year I could go to the movies independently of others) to the present. I will only be listing the films, buy hopefully it will air out 170 movies that I like. I would say most are safe choices. As much as I'd like to pick, say, some Intuit Eskimo Musical about Whaling that only played one time in one theatre in NYC, I decided to actually pick the movies that I like, not the movies I think I'm supposed to like. Too many people make lists to look smart. Hopefully that is not what I am doing. I will put three years worth of top tens at a time so's as not to make it too GD lengthy. So that's coming soon.
I recently rediscovered (for $3.99) the Juliana Hatfield album "Only Everyhting". If there is a better song than "Dumb Fun" I don't know what it is. She is my favorite singer/songwriter at the moment.
I also got the new Paul McCartney album "Memory Almost Full" and was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I have a job where I can actually listen to my iPod whilst working, so I find myself listening to that a lot to drown out other ambient noises in my periphery while trying to concentrate.
