Ok, quick blog for tonight since I have to hit the sack early. But I want to stress something very important.
We all know what tomorrow is. Tomorrow, a nation, this nation, is going to be going to be turning out in the millions to cast a vote for the future of this country. A small handful will natually vote for a third-party with no real chance of getting anywhere other than hoping to make a statement for themselves or their party, but what it boils down to is the two men who've been locking horns in a drive for the Office of President of the United States. John McCain and Barack Obama.
This is a vitally important election, which both candidates have run on the platform of change. Change in the economy, on taxes, on jobs, and international standing. Whoever you're leaning for, whether it be Obama or McCain, it is imperative, if you're a registered voter, especially you newer ones, like myself, that you get out and vote. This election is entirely too important for anyone who has a voice and a voter registration card to just sit this one out. This country has been brought to its knees these last eight years by a President that didn't give a damn about us or his country, but only lining the pockets of his rich buddies and using the 9/11 tragedy for his own personal grudges, namely Hussein, and Iraq.
It has to stop. I personally believe Obama is the way to go. He has brought forth an inspiring message and a respectable campaign, and he has us, the younger generation, believing in something better for the first time. We have a chance to bring much needed change and new ideas to this country, to come back from the brink of a tottering and failing economy, a morale that's plummeted, and a standing in the larger international community that's been tainted. For too long we've had a President and his cronies spitting in the eyes on everyone that either didn't bend their will to them or who've criticized how things have been handled. Now is the time, as a collective voice in this country, that we speak out against these abuses of power, and demand change and respectibility brought back to this nation.
Tomorrow, I'm going to work until 5 pm, and I will be tired as hell, working almost 10 hours for an Election Day sale. Tomorrow, with my feet hurting and my mind numb from another grueling day at work, I'm not going straight home or to the bar for an after work beer. Tomorrow, after work, I'm going to the polls, and I'm going to cast my vote for change in this country. Tomorrow, I am voting for Barack Obama.
Tomorrow, no matter who you are, and who you want to see as PotUS, you need to make your voice heard, and vote. This is too important. And those who have the opportunity to vote and don't...please do not bitch about the way things are going in this country. In my opinion, if you forfeit your vote, you've forfeited your right to bitch. So vote, and don't want until the last minute. Do it at the first opportunity, the very first chance that you have tomorrow. And if one doesn't come? Make it happen.
Now, with that out of the way. My other important iteration. Bellica. Maybe you've heard of her? She's got a wicked set in MR, homies. I encourage you to check out her set, "L". Since I'm advocating voting, I'm also advocating my nomination for a new Suicide Girl.
