Ya just don't stop.
The Do Lab (miracle grow) threw this amazing party Saturday night in a former catholic cathedral in downtown LA, replete w/confession booths, a bassnectar on the alter, and >800 freaky burner people. To say the decor was awesome wouldn't do it enough justice, and Cecelia, Ruben and I had a good 'ol time getting jiggy to it. The Leucent L'amour show was tacky, though the women had great costumes. That went till about 4am. Drive back home to San Diego, shower, some coffee, and it was off to the San Deguito's half marathon, Cecilia tagging along to see what all the hoopla of running in skimpy clothing was about.
I love being able to do this. Back from a party, cracked out, tired, shower, and completely twist your state of mind around from the spanktempo dancing to getting ready to run a 13.1 mile race. The fun don't stop, no siree.
Even broke my personal best of 1:28:26 with a cool 1:25 even. 6:30/mi pace and spot on to where I'd like to be to finish the Boston in 2:50. And I haven't even started my speedwork yet. And to make the post race fun even better, the event was thrown by the SD Hash House Harriers, and they got both the Stone and Ballast Point brewing companies to be major sponsors, which meant all the oh so yummy beer you could drink. Cecilia and I had a few pints, lazing under the Solana beach sun while psycho Dave called Megan up to berate her for not being there. And Anne almost beat Dan. Hehe, this should be a fun running season.
So after getting home, showering yet again, and taking a much needed 3hr catnap, I'm having my last little bit o' procrastination before I hit the japanese to get ready for my midterm tomorrow morning at 9am.
Mmmm, fun indeed.
