And now, back to the merry land of San Diego. At least the rain was welcoming. Am I rested? Recharged? Ready for this quarter, cuz its a doozy...the usual lab work topped by Japanese and a crazy exercise schedule, which isn't so different from last quarter albeit the training for the Boston marathon, the Wild Miles relay, and then the Wildflower tri...........um, yeah. I'm a nutball.
I think the only way to get through it all is to have CONSTANT VIGILANCE over my sleep schedule, and to make sure I get enough of it. Which in all honesty will be the tricky part. That and trying to get another B in Japanese. And for those of you wondering why in the world I'm taking Japanese, it's because I have these hopes of doing a post-doc in Tokyo w/my professor's old PI. I figure so long as I'm competent enought at work, the only thing hindering me is the language barrier; 1.3 yrs down, 2.6 more to go.
And the New Year resolutions? The usual:
drink less alcohol
sleep more
have more willpower and discipline
oh, and maybe this year, I'll finally make a cassoulet.
