As of last night I figured out the perfect touch for the tattoo I wanted to do to celebrate my heritage and my family. I feel guilty talking about my idea ahead of time with people I dont know personally because a weird part of me is concerned with jinxing it as well as someone else seeing my idea and using it before I get my done (selfish, I know). You are welcome to take all the inspiration you want once I'm done with my perfect idea XD. Anyways I know that in the last few months I haven't exactly been pacing myself but I've decided that I definitely want KRIS to do it because I'm in love with her style and her amount of detail and her ability to playfully use color. All I can save is they are flowers that are symbolic to the culture and native to the country that I owe part of my heritage to. Also they are one of my favorite colors.

I think this tattoo would be a good addition to what I already have. So far I have 2 types of tattoos. The stars are my personal symbol of self and coming to terms with my body, the orange represents my sense of place ( my family and my home) and the flower piece would represent my heritage.

Not only is there a conscious thought about how this would be a perfect fit for me, I am also thinking about the color scheme that I currently have as well as how it would fit in. I purposely asked for Kris to add the leaf to my orange to tie it into the green in the stars that I have. The flowers would be primarily yellow with a bit of orange and maybe I will ask her to put some green buds in there as well. I think the text would be black if I do indeed get it, since the outline of my stars are black. That would tie back into that color.

So much to think about, I suppose I will have to start saving as well :3
