Thanks @missy @penny @eirenne @jacqueline for this <3
I'd love to think about this day as not just a celebration day but also an empowerment day through information and partnership.
What I personally try to do as a mission in my life is to be supportive and opened to women - and above all to friends.
Communication and love are the foundation for a better world.
Another great thing to do is to support business ran by women and associations that promote information.
I think knowing facts and data is a weapon to not only empower women, but to educate both genders too.
Did you know that globally 35 per cent of women have ever experienced physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence, or sexual violence by a non-partner? And less than 40 per cent of the women who experience violence seek help of any sort, because we're misbelieved and treated like insane.
There's also a huge Gender Pay Gap in all over the world. For what's about EU, in 2019, women's gross hourly earnings were on average 14.1 % below those of men, and even if women are more likely to have University graduation they earn less.
I know it could be boring to read but we're far from equality and I know this community is super open-minded and a free space for us. <3
Happy women's day!
