Blog homework: What is your best advice? @rambo @missy thanks for this <3
Probably it's not my best advice, I'm not very fond of good advices even for myself but I have a thought about Social Media behavior that I'd love to share with the community:
Suicidegirls and Web Models in general often collaborate with brands and that's one of the parts I love most of our work.
Lately, some online brands caught my eye for stealing products and designs or for selling low-budget products as very expensive using influencers to (falsely) reviewing them.
(for example: one of my best friends regularly designs clothes and makes harnesses and almost every month there's someone who sells on IG the same exact product even copying the name and blocking her)
As a student in graphic communication and marketing I read a lot of stuff about copyright laws and social media:
I love getting stuff from brands and make advertise but I totally dislike most of social media tactics if they're not ethical.
And I'm not talking about products that seemed good on the internet and then weren't particularly attractive or suited not very well with every body, that's ok! I'm talking about real fraud or copyright infringement.
My point is that, especially if you have many followers, you HAVE TO think before accepting all collaborations or worse, advertise very low quality at high price products or even stuff dangerous for health, like some dietetic "magic" infusions that makes people sweat, throw up, having tachycardia or worst.
I want to stay true to myself not only in real life but also on social media.
We're obviously different on the street from being naked or half-naked on the internet BUT we must not faking a life or being dishonest with people who follow and support us.
So my little and insignificant advice in the world is that: at least us, Suicidegirls, promoting alternative beauty and lifestyle:
Let's stay ethical and true, even in advertising 🌸
