Bah humbug. I am very angry right now 'cause I've spent the last 2 hours looking for cheap textbooks online and they're not very cheap at all! Boo on expensive books! I swear last time I looked they were all around 25$, and now they've doubled--some have more than doubled. It's totally the most craptacular thing ever, 'cause now I have to spend more scholarship money and that means I won't get a nice, fat return check, and that means fewer trips to Miami. I think someone needs to set up a Franki fund. I also need to figure out how to change my profile pic, haha. I'm a liiiiiiiittle tired of this one. Anyways, hope everyone else is in a better mood than I am.
Well, I guess while I'm on here I could write about the first day back. It was gay. It wasn't all that bad, actually, but my first class of the day (Critical Thinking) was a big time disappointment. The philosophy dept. here is shite. Critical Thinking is basically an easier version of a class I took last semester, haha, I love how everything is out of order. But at least I get the easy stuff now. I'm taking a film class on Stanley Kubrick's movies and the books that inspired them. It's great, I love the professor (had him last semester, coolest guy ever) and, duh, the movies/books rock. We're doing A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odessey, Barry Lyndon, and The Shining. And we're reading this out of print book that was the text source for Full Metal Jacket. Gosh, I'm excited. Sorry to babble, I won't bore everyone with details (and if you've read this far into the post, I congratulate you!).
xoxo Franki
