It's election time everyone, and I am part of an incredible campaign called GREEN OUT 2016. Why vote green? Because I want marriage equality, seriously we shouldn't even be talking about this anymore, let's just get it done. Queer kids should feel safe in school, and the way we're going with our current government, apparently it's okay to sacrifice the funding for programs in place to help this. The art industry in Australia is going down the drain, more than ever and "the world without art is just... eh." Also, abortion is still illegal in Queensland, what the hell. Also, we really need medicare to stay. REALLY. Penalty rates were the only good thing about working in the hospitality industry, take that away and feel free to watch a lot of people crumble under financial pressure. Data retention, surely we can't ACTUALLY think that the government is doing this for any other reason other than to control the people. Small business, freelancers, students and artists NEED the tax breaks, BIG BUSINESS DOES NOT. Support the greens to support, women, artists and to value human beings over money.
