well, izzy's better, that's a start. no more sad coughing at 3am. i do love how snuggly she is when she's sick though, she just wants to cuddle up against me and be held all the time, like when she was a newborn. now she's always running around bellowing and getting into things and she's too busy to snuggle. funny that ordinarily i hate cuddling-ask anyone who knows me, if i'm not having sex, i prefer not to be touched-but i love cuddling w/isabelle. it's comforting, i have no idea why. and i get really whiny, clingy and needy when i'm sick, and now that i'm too old to crawl into my dad's lap and be rocked to sleep, i cuddle w/izzy instead and it has the same effect. great mother/daughter bonding, napping on the couch, breathing cold germs onto each other's faces, surrounded by a swirling mist of vick's vaporub. she's so sweet even when she's sick, no whining, no crying, all she wants is to be held and she's perfectly happy. i was in the bathroom this morning, coughing up everything that had settled in my throat overnite and she comes toddling in w/ her cough medicine and the dosing syringe and offers it to me. i thought that was so sweet, and it shows that she's getting really perceptive. i love her.
