I 've acquired a mystery item. Got it at an auction, it's a pic of two men wearing uniforms of the Grand Army of the Republic. One I believe is Dr. Overton Mennet, a former chief of the GAR, and I haven't figured out who the other individual is. He is wearing a sache (sp?) with a knot which leads me to believe he would have worn a sword, so that would make him an officer, I think. Mysteries, mysteries
