So my computer moniter crapped out this weekend, couldn't see shit. Yesterday I took it back to the store, because I had one of the extended service plans with them. First they said they were going to ship it out to get repaired, then ten minutes later the guy says to just go over and pick a new out, so long as it is below $279 (value of my 15"- 3yrs ago). For that amount I was able to get a 19" widescreen and have enough left over to cover a new service plan.
So in the long run my monitor going bad was a good thing. Interestingly the guy never turned my old monitor on to see what it was doing, he just took my word for it
And I am now on vacation
