Last year, the North Carolina-based independent label going by the name of Pimalia (home to my Forms Of Things Unknown project and other fine artists) released a seventeen-track compilation album entitled Smatterings, featuring a wide array of left-field bands and artists. Now, thanks to a distribution deal with Amazon.com, this adventuresome and eclectic label sampler is available through the month of July as a free download, simply by going to the Smatterings page at Amazon, right here. Please note that this opportunity to download the album FOR FREE is only good through this Friday, July 31, at Amazon.com.
Two recent tracks by Forms Of Things Unknown have been released on a couple of various artists compilations that are (or were) only available as downloads, both difficult to find or access. Now there is a new 'Downloads' page at the official FOTU website where you can listen to and download both of these tracks. "Enantiodronia" is excerpted from an as-yet unreleased forty-minute drone work. "Postlude" started out as the foundation of a collaborative track between Ferrara Brain Pan and Patrick Leagas (still in the works) and evolved into a separate FOTU piece.
