Day seven on Premarin 2.5mg daily. Yesterday I was extremely depressed, but I can't say if my depression is/was related to the hormone supplementation. It's not like I never get depressed...
I feel a little better today, Shaved my body all over and touched up my nails. Ate some delicious strawberries and a Fuji apple for breakfast, and a tasty watermelon (half of it) for lunch. Tonight I am going to be taking part in this audio demo exhibition:
"Here's a free event happening today, Sunday, July 19, to kick off this year's Outsound music fest. New music composers & performers from the Outsound New Music Summit 2009 will have their instruments and equipment on display for interested listeners. The artists will give individual demonstrations of their gear and you will be allowed to play and operate the various instruments and devices, 'Exploratorium' style. There will be a variety of different types of equipment, from hand-built acoustic musical instruments to circuit-bent electronics to fancy-pants digital audio gizmos. Each musician will have his/her own booth for individual demonstrations, so you can show up anytime between 7:00 and 10:00 pm to sample any or all of the equipment on display. Admission is free, with hopes that you will be enticed to attend one of the upcoming concerts taking place July 22-25 at the same location. I will have a vintage Hewlett-Packard sinewave oscillator and an electronic sweep function generator for you to sample and play with.
"The event takes place TODAY, Sunday, July 19, 2009, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at the San Francisco Community Music Center, located at 544 Capp St (one block south of Mission @ 20th) in San Francisco."
It's unlikely that anyone reading this blog is in San Francisco and would want to go to this event, but it doesn't hurt to mention it, I guess.
Other than that, I don't know. Feeling pretty washed up and down and out. Yesterday got a letter in the mail informing me that my monthly food stamps allotment is being cut next month from $197 to $60. That's a 70% cut. Which means I will basically be living on the free food (meals and/or groceries) handouts I can get from the city food programs. Back to the the brown rice and black beans and peanut butter diet I lived on most of last year and the year before, with apples, cabbage, carrots and potatoes as my fruit and vegetable intake. I got so sick of peanut butter for all those months. But I can eat sunflower seeds, too, since those are cheap protein that I like. I refuse to buy eggs or dairy because in order to buy the cruelty-free stuff I'd have to pay four times as much as the factory farmed crap you buy at Safeway, and I'm not supporting that.
Tried to go visit my ex-girlfriend yesterday but she keeps giving me the runaround. Says she has birthday gifts from ten weeks ago to give me, but seems to keep refusing to make herself available for me to visit her. Bad timing and missed connections, basically... as much my fault as hers, I guess. But yesterday I went over there twice on her invitation and she would not answer the door either time. I'm sick of it. I give up.
Another day of my life. Sigh...
