Yesterday I got my first new body piercing since 1991 when I got my navel pierced. This new one is a surface piercing right on or below my 'mound of venus' a few inches below my navel (sort of where my clit would be if I had one, a little above there I guess). I wanted a piercing to articulate my female sexuality and this seemed to be the closest anatomical position I could find on my male body (already have my nipples pierced since 1990).
A really experienced (20 years) piercer named Steve Joyner did it at Body Manipulations in San Francisco and I went with a barbell for the jewelry (may choose to put a ring in there when it is all healed in four months). I can see this piercing is going to present problems if I am going to have sex with anyone during the healing process since it is going to be an issue trying to keep it covered and prevent any contact with a partner's skin or body fluids. I might have to limit things to manual contact only in that area and avoid oral/genital/anal...
