After watching the new Hobbit film, I am completely convinced I was meant to be born an elf.
SO determined to grow my hair now, despite having tried for years and years....
Soon I will look just like Thranduil of Mirkwood!

I thought the barrel scene was the best. I'm kinda stumped by why they would introduce a badass female character just to have her fall in love with one of the male characters. Seems like a way to fill out the story and makes it all kinds of corny that it's a love triangle thing now.

Yeah, I completely agree.I was reading online before the movie came out and everyone was pointing out that fact the Tolkien simply doesn't have any female characters with any depth to them. Supposedly introducing her would mean the movie would appeal to women more. Same goes for the orcs, the fact that they're all white is to avoid seeming racist despite them being them all being black in the novel. All seemed a little messed up to me.
