...and two weeks later.
I'm a shit, I'm sorry. Work has been all-consuming lately, but that's no excuse. Please forgive my negligence?
I have spent the better part of the last two weeks in San Francisco. I love that city! There was a time when I never thought I would step outside of Seattle, but I could live there. It's beautiful but dirty, nice but naughty, exciting but laid-back. I found myself enjoying the best of both worlds for a few hours a day when I wasn't trapped under the florescent lights of an office.
It does appear that I will be moving soon, but not to SF, but to Indiana. The HR nightmare of transferring has already begun, and my boss has become more accustomed to the phrase, "when you're in the Chicago office..." So, it's a go. Now, it's the task of house hunting, packing, and did I mention house-hunting? I actually have a place that I'm interested in, in Indiana. I'm hopefully going to get a peak at it during my next visit, which I'm thinking is going to be next weekend.
Is anyone else shocked that people are already asking the question: "So, what are you doing memorial day weekend?" How can we be talking about the end of May? Fucking Christmas JUST happened.
I should get my lazy ass in the shower and make an appearance at work today. I hope you can forgive my indiscretion. I'll be better from now on.
