Anyway,
I had plenty of downtime yesterday at work because the system that we use was undergoing some maintenance. We knew that when it came up we were going to be slammed so I pretty much got lunch out of the way so that I could prepare for all the hell that would ensue. So.........
The database finally comes up and what does one of my co-workers do? Yea, you guessed it. Like any other lazy and selfish co-worker that I 've ever had to work with, she sends out a message saying "Lunch." I about shit bricks right then and there. I got up and ran over to her desk and I'll be fucked if she didn't just teleport out of her seat, but that bitch was gone. I made it known to my supervisors that I was not too pleased and informed them that I was all by myself over on my "team" and that I was quite aggravated.
So, I walk back over to my desk and there are two other members of my team sitting there (one is extremely slow and the other was on lunch). Luckily, the one that was on lunch jumped in to help (he's a REALLY good employee). He could tell I was really pissed off because he said, "it feels like it's increased in temperature by 10 degrees." (It probably did, I was fuming) I wanted to say something to her or to my management so bad but I already know it wouldn't do any good; I kept my mouth shut after that.
This whole rant leads me to ponder something. Why does it seem like only 5% of the population has some kind of work ethic and the rest don't? And, can you imagine how productive our society would be if people actually cared about their job, their co-workers, and did their job in a timely manner? It simply just blows my mind at how shitty and inconsiderate people can be. RAWR!!!!!!!!!!!

you seem very considerate, I read your advice to that girl who was depressed on the "dating sucks" board. Very good advice. That was nice of you.
