Fun: Snowboarding in the north east blows. well it will once you've been anywhere with decent vertical. don't get me wrong though, i enjoy boarding anywhere i can (given that we don't get good snow in any great amounts here in town) it's just disheartening to spend more time on the lifts then actual board time. this weekend though i was introduced to a new fun past time that renders that disappointment into excitement. boarding with drunk friends. now to fully enjoy this i recommend staying sober and waiting for the right amount of liquid courage to percolate in your american friends before gently provoking them to perform feats of daredevilry. feel free to suggest their inferior boarding skills (or courage for that matter) is the result of their nationality. repeat until someone is injured or worse yet passes out somewhere of the back of tannebaums trees. this recipe is good for hours of single serving fun.

Not so fun: i do not recommend attending machine shop with less then 3 hrs of sleep. somewhere between undercutting my work piece and sending a sheared parting tool hurling towards my lathe neighbor the enjoyment of the previous evening became moot. i now appear in the class' safety handbook in place of the long haired stoner haphazardly wrapping his hair around the chuck as the defacto do not be this guy picture.
