Well what a week it has been, started my new job on Monday, and after a bumpy start it has turned out to be a really good week.
When I arrived on Monday I was 15 minutes late as I had walked and wasn't sure how long it would take, it took just over an hour in total and was bloody shattering.
WE went straight to the office we would be working in, which turned out to be a shitty static porto cabin type building, it huge but manky as hell, but I was starting with 2 other girls, we spent the first half of the day in an induction with the department manager, who is really nice if a little anal, and with our supervisor.
Then later in the day we went and set up our computer systems and checked all our passwords, at this point they decided to drop it on us that we would be working to target, which none of us were told before, at our interviews our by the agencies, now don't get me wrong, I am a capable salesman and a competent customer advisor, but I hate working on telephones at the best of times and working with targets at the moment was something I have been trying to avoid, but over the next couple of days after our system training I decided to give it a chance.
Things became a bit stressful towards the end of the week as I thought I was going to have to leave as I am unable to walk back in time to collect Joshua from his after school club, which for every 15 minutes were late collecting him they charge us 5 on top of the already expensive 9.50 a day fee.
On Thursday I decided to talk to my supervisor about it and she suggested I start work at 8.30 and finish at 4.30 which would allow me enough time to get back to the school to collect him, and in marc's new job have allowed him to start at 9.30 so he can take josh to school, so disaster averted.
All in all we had a good first week, I got the highest number of bookings on Thursday and Friday and we all beat the weekly target as a team by 3.30pm on Friday.
Recently I have been playing with the idea of going back to university, it's something i would love to do, but I think it is the wrong time at the moment.
My big sister is a real inspiration to me at the moment, she is planning to go to university to study for a degree she is really excited and I hope she gets in because her life has had some serious ups and downs, and this is her dream.
We love you big sis!!!!
I'm looking into some other courses, some at the local college and some through home study, one option id for me to study through the Open University for a degree, or possibly something like life coaching so I can try to help other people and myself.
But hey ho I'm sure when it's the right time to course I'm supposed to do will jump out to bite me on the ass.
I have just finished dying my hair black, at the moment, I needed to simplify my life and my hair colour strangely comes into that category, when it's black, I just feel right, lol
I'm feeling really bad this week too, I have been so tired getting into the swing of working full time again, that the first night I fell asleep at 7.30 then the next few days I have been really busy after work and getting josh all sorted has meant I haven't been able to get on MSN as often as I like to talk to my good friends, but I promise I will get better once I find my routine.
I'm also starting my diet tomorrow so wish me luck, I'm starting my diet sheet to see what I'm eating and how its affecting me, and to record my staring weight and measurements!
I'm kind of scared as it's the first time I'm really going to have to be serious about losing the weight and wanting to keep it off, I bought a fitness video too for me to do at home, but I got a sweat on just watching it yesterday, lol.
But on that note I hope your all well, and that you had a great weekend.
I will add a picture of my new hair and my starting stats tomorrow so I have a record of my progress. Xxxx
Love you all, give me some ideas of courses to do I'm stumped at the moment. xxxx
ooohhhh, i also have to add i watched Juno last night, and i didnt really have any expectations of the film, but it was genuiinly lovely made me laugh out loud in alot of places and really made me happy.
and today i watched 30 days of nights, and i also loved it too. xxxx
