I got my dress for Prom yesterday!! Jason and I went shopping and it was such fun! We really only looked at one store and I really only tried on like 10 dresses. Which in the grand scheme of things isn't very many. We were done in an hour and a half. I did, however, have to come to grips with the fact that I must shop not only in the women's and not the teenager's section, but also that I must shop in the petites. Being a 31 year old short woman, this probably shouldn't have been something that I actually had to "come to terms with," but nonetheless.

My dress is above the knee, offwhite, spaghetti straps, tight through the waist and then a poofy skirt part. It's got a layer of off-white lace over satiny, shiney material, with a band of black lace around the waist. And a bow. I look like I should be on top of a cake!! Plus, the lace kind of matches my tatoo.

It was gloriously expensive. I bought it because this is the first time in my whole life I've bought an expensive and awesome dress just because I wanted one. The only other awesome and expensive dress I've ever bought was the one I got married in. Commonly known as my wedding dress. It is beautiful and was very expensive, but it really isn't appropriate for Prom. It doesn't breath well.
