The exciting thing that happened in KY and OH was that my friend Ryan picked me up at my Dad's house on his way to go to a UK basketball game with Scott. Scott was totally surprised when Ryan pulled up to his Granny's house with me in the car. Further, the game was awesome. I've never been somewhere with so many people who care about something.
Being someone who is largely ambivalent about most things (I AM a Libra!!), it was exciting to be with so many people who really gave a damn about something.
Plus, it was intensely exciting to not be at my Daddy's house while my step-mom's family was there. They got the 7 year old boy, and while I *like* kids, he was a bit loud for my taste. I think I probably would have had a higher tolerance had I not just had that goddamn cat sucking my will to be patient.
And, Ryan was sick, so when we stayed that night at his friend's house before we got to Scott's Granny's, I got to make him a "concoction" to help him get his voice back. I was delighted that he was gargling with something so vile and I didn't have to. I just stood there and laughed and clapped the whole time he was taking it. Plus, it actually helped and that made me happy.

my doesn't like to whistle and it's new too...i can usually hear the water rapidly boiling in it before/if it whistles. it's red and cute though, and still does it's main job, i suppose!
