Tonight, I achieve another milestone in my poster career -- a Fillmore poster. I have some weird thoughts rolling around my head with this but I am honored to be in the company of such legendary poster artists. My first Fillmore show was a halloween Residents show and getting a poster handed to me as I left that night was pretty rad. I had no clue at the time that I'd someday be making posters, let alone one for the Fillmore. I'm gonna play it cool when I leave like I'm just another person in the crowd being handed a poster but inside I'll be all giddy. It's a right of passage in the poster world and I'm proud to just sneak in before 1000 (mine is 997 in the series).
I'm getting my hands tattooed tomorrow. I guess that will slam the door on my ever returning to the corporate world. Mom probably won't be too stoked about this one either.
Next stop, Texas. I'm looking forward to a few days of relaxing with redmess and her fine family and seeing some awesome bands -- Echo and the Bunnymen and Devo are on my must see list.
I'll be at this party too.
Good night.
