Editor's note: I apologize for the rambling. You should imagine someone like... a greasy pump jockey from a rural Kentucky gas station saying this at you.
Oh man. I know I'm not the type to get sentimental and stuff and I also know that I'm more than a bit tipsy as I commit these words but it's just one of those weeks where the human condition forces itself upon the forefront of the usual shit that occupies one's mind. I won't bore the few of you that still read this every so often with what I ate for dinner or the girl that's currently causing me anxiety or any other daily nuisance.
Sometimes you just feel a moment. And I don't want to sound like a hippie or some new age asshole because that's not what this is about. It's not life changing or anything like that. It's just like a big sigh. You breathe in a lot of air and you exhale and you feel satisfied.
On the grand scale of nights in my life tonight was insignificant. Nothing out of the ordinary occurred for better or for worse but as I approached my door and fumbled with my keys one of my favorite songs came on my ipod. I took my bike to the back room and sat on the back porch and just listened.
It was nice. It was dark and it was cool and it was comforting. I was happy to not think and to just relax.
It sounds contrite but I sometimes forget to just sit and be content. I highly recommend it. Go listen to an old favorite song and not worry about the day.

Very true. Sometimes you just gotta kick back and let things be. It's always better to keep the "make the best of what you have" attitude and enjoy it....
