Wow. What a great prom we had this year. Thanks to everyone who came by and made it awesome.

In sadder news, an old acquaintance from Pittsburgh passed away last week and I just got news. My old buddy Jimmy the Cook a.k.a. Gumba had a heart attack. Jimmy was an awesome guy. Jimmy taught me some pretty important things -- never get a girl's name tattooed on you and how to make awesome meat balls. Jimmy always had a new joke to tell and no one laughed harder at his jokes than he did -- even after the 15th telling of the day. He'd sneak me meals when he knew I was broke and when he'd fall of the wagon I'd wake up to find him on my couch sleeping off his bender.
Jimmy, you touched a lot of lives with your keen and simple insight and your hearty italian dinners!

I was hoping to rest this week but I got some rush jobs and I'm a little strapped for cash lately so looks like I'll be pulling some long hours again. I was hoping to maybe escape to LA this weekend but that's not looking very probable. Oh well. I have Bonarroo in two weeks and I need to get busy prepping for that.

would you rather eat a pound of fermented cabbage or a spoonful of maggots?
Also, my sincerest condolences on the passing of your friend.
