Murphys law I believe is what it is called. Anything that can go wrong will.
Have you ever had one of those days? Where the littlest thing makes you go haywire. The coffee is cold and it makes you weep. Or you stub your toe on an in-animate object and scream at it like it was your little sibling when they went in your room; one of THOSE days. Yeah, now you get it.
I am here to tell you that when you figure out it is one of THOSE days, do not lock yourself inside. It does not help. Sure, you may think you are safe and sound inside your own space. But NOOOO. It finds ways. You feel as though when you are out, you are more vulnerable. And sure, there are people to pick apart your very sanity. But at least you have things to blame. When you are alone, you have to take the responsibility.
You see, it was my day off and I decided I was going to do fuck all. Just laze around and watch TV.
1st thing that happened: Slipped in the shower. You know, alone, thats pretty innocent. We are all clumsy.
2nd thing that happened: Continueing the clumsy, I tripped over my rug, badly spraining my big toe.
Now I was hobbling and bruised.
3rd thing that happened: Alright, fuck it, I'm just going to order pizza and watch a movie. I spend extra money to get a fancy pizza, ordering it online. What happens? It shows up an hour and a half later, cold, and it is the wrong damn pizza.
The straw that broke the camels back.
I laid in bed and bawled with my foot on ice, and eating my cold soggy pizza.
Those things individually weren't that bad, even two of them. But then the third!!! Those are the only things that could have possibly gone wrong on Lil Nightmares Day Off, and they did.
The moral: There is none. This was a fun rant though.
