I've had a lovely day today. I stayed at Sars last night and we watched BB while filling our fat faces on Black Forest Gateau, my favourite!
Got up at 10.10am this morning and had a lovely soak in Sarah's tub (my immersion heater is fooked at the moment and I can't afford to get it fixed - lucky I've got an electric shower!) Yes, I have to boil the kettle when I want to wash up, meh
Anyway, yeah, then we walked Tessie into Shirley and bought a few cheapies in the 99p shop!
Then I went to see my Nanny and I took her over a new photo of me and Tessie which she loved - it's my current profile pic in a pretty mother-of-pearl frame We had a good old chat about the war and put the world to rights like we always do! My baby bro is in Afghanistan til the 24th August and I spoke to him on MSN yesterday afternoon. He's doing ok but my Nanny lost a brother in WWII - he was in the Navy and his ship was hit. My Nanny saw him off to war and never heard another thing from him. I can't even begin to imagine how that feels. Anyway, we had a few tears today about it and the fact that I HATE the military and I HATE the war and all that it entails. I don't wanna get into an argument with anyone here (particularly those that I know are either in the military or their loved ones are). Like my brother, I support him wholeheartedly in everything he does, of course I do, I was there when he was born! BUT I went on the Stop The War march in London all those years ago and I meant it. So yeah, I was quite surprised but very relieved to sit down and talk with Nanny about it, only to find that she completely agrees with everything I said! Like she said, she'd much rather have her brother come home all those years ago
Then I met up with an old couple and their two grandsons - it's a long story but basically when I was a toddler, we used to live next-door to this couple and apparently I used to get up early and go and knock on their back door asking for breakfast and they used to feed me! Soooooooooo cute! Anyway, they're in their 60's now and I found her on facebook a couple of months back. I met up with them again for the first time last weekend and it was really nice. Then in the week she rang me asking if I'd like a new pair of trainers for 15 as her grandson thinks they're too girly for him so again today I met up with them and bought these really cute trainers off them and spent an hour in the sunshine in a pub garden with them and enjoyed a Diet Coke Poor Tessie was pooped after all the excitement so I brought her back home about 5.30pm - she's slept on the front room floor ever since, bless her!
So yeah, after having a pretty low week, I've had a lovely day today
The weather is supposed to be gorgeous here again tomorrow so I'm hoping to get down the beach with Tessie to meet my Avon lady and her doggy Jody to see if they get on ok - if it all works out Nikki is keen to look after Tessie for me whenever I go away - this is really handy for me so fingers crossed it all works out! I really don't want to have to rely on my baby sister anymore, she's a fucking liability and lets me down every time!
So, it's now 23.11pm so I should go get some shuteye. Nunite chickens
xx
