OK so enough of my paranoia!!
How are y'all doing out there?
I'm doing pretty well as it goes Makes a change eh! I'm definitely feeling physically fitter and healthier than I've probably ever felt. I'm really enjoying my daily exercise routine and it really does start off the day perfectly
I'm losing weight every day now and while it's coming off quite slowly, I can feel my body getting smaller and my clothes getting baggier which is fantastic! Finally, I can live with being on anti-depressant meds without the fear of putting on ridiculous amounts of weight! The exercising is also improving my mental health on a daily basis as well so yeah, I'm smiling more and more each day
Money is still extremely tight but I have managed to pay the arrears off my mortgage and am continuing to drive the taxi most nights - getting paid on a daily basis is cool!! I'm slowly getting there although having to put notice in to vacate my office this week hurt Hopefully it'll only be a couple of months and I can afford to come back. In the meantime I now have to spend the next few weeks concentrating on clearing out the office and finding somewhere to put it all. This means I need to get in my shed and get rid of a load of stuff. This is not a task I relish - I know it sounds harsh but this is the time when I wish I had a fella who could help me!! Hehe
Oh and I've still not got any hot water - after speaking with the manufacturer of my heating unit this week they've now confirmed that it is my immersion heater that is fooked and therefore I have no choice but to get an electrician in to sort the problem out. Clearly, I will need to save a couple of hundred quid for that first so there will be no baths for some weeks to come and I will have to continue to boil the kettle a few times in order to wash the dishes Still, I have a cracking hot power shower so it'll just have to wait a while longer.
The local council are taking me to court again this week for not paying my council tax - fuck 'em I say! I won't be attending
Guy finished his radiotherapy last week and has been feeling really ill - I'm hoping to speak to him in the next day or two. He's got physical burns on the outside of his body now and he's had chronic cystitis for over a month so the poor love has really gone through it!
Ooooo, I've just spoken to him and he's already getting a lot better and ready to kick some arse with work! Woohoo, hopefully we can get our shit together and get a few jobs in over the coming weeks
He's got his big meeting with his consultant on the 15th July so fingers crossed the treatment has worked and he will be ok
So last Saturday I went to Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swindon - I can't put it into words how fucking awesome a day we had! I love live music sooooo much - it really made me feel alive and that I have lots to look forward to in my life. It's almost like being healed! Suffice to say I've been a lot happier since and am pretty excitable about some of the gigs that I've got coming up in the next few weeks
There were 2 bands of the day - The King Blues - if you get the chance, check them out - they're incredibly uplifting and energetic on stage and obviously love what they do! I need to investigate further and see if they have an album out yet. They're playing all over the place this summer so I'm pretty sure you'll hear more of them in the coming months
And this band below - this is my video footage of Run, which is a particular favourite of mine. It's a long story and it involves Stinky so I won't talk about it any further but basically, all memories of him to do with this song were completely exorcised during this performance. I'm sorry I didn't record from the very beginning but you'll get the idea anyway.
So Steve, if you're out there - you can be sure that from now on whenever I hear this song, I will think of being in this massive tent with thousands of other people, singing along with my best friend and thinking life is good! (and better without you!) One less thing that reminds me of him
Onwards and upwards my lovelies
